Dear Tyler, Ellie & Anna,
The fog on the river this morning was very thick, but it didn’t take long for the sun to come out and burn it all away, so that we could enjoy our morning sailing up the Rhine river and enjoying towns, castles and trains and beautiful vineyards.

Grandma cannot remember the names of all the castles, but they were sure beautiful. I will post a few pictures of the ones that were unusual.

Doc Ray and Grandma finally got a photo together. Thanks to Crystal and Mark.

Along both sides of the Rhine River are train lines. These were used by the Germans during the war and were decorated to look like castles or churches to try to fool the allies who might not bomb a church or castle.

We took an hour and a half walking tour of the city with an excellent guide, then rode the cable car up to the citadel that protected the Rhine and Moselle rivers form invaders.

The ship stayed port until midnight so Grandma got cool photos of the city lights on the water. Time to close for the night!

Love, Grandma❤️❤️❤️
