Coming on this trip a day early was such a wonderful idea. While we didn’t do a lot in Basel yesterday, but by getting a good night’s sleep we were ready for a full day of adventures in Basel today.

After checking in to our room, we were able to eat a light lunch before beginning our adventure.

Coming early also has the advantage of being able to take a walking tour with a Viking guide of the old town of Basel. This included a beautiful view from the cathedral grounds of the river in town and a bright red town hall.

The highlight of this tour was visiting a beautiful cathedral in the heart of Basel . During the reformation, his cathedral was abandoned. We were able to visit, not only a Cloisters that are part of the cathedral but also the cemetery it was within the cathedral walls.

5:30 AM and I am at working on the blog so I can post this while we have Internet service. More to come later in the day.
