March 10, 2023 at Journey’s end in NYC.

Dear Friends and Family,
Usually on a trip, one can take time at the end of the day to review the photos taken and and post what was accomplished that day. For me this worked only for short posts on Facebook. A full schedule of wonderful daily activities and very limited internet (lobby visits in between activities) meant that taking time to reflect on each day was impossible. Even sleep was on a short time-line: Sleep average was 4.5 hours!
On our flight back to the states yesterday, 3/9/23, I thought about topics that will give a reflective overview of our journey. Sites visited were sometime confusing as we might see a site 4000 years old next to one from the 19th century AD. I will use photos from Facebook and others from-my over 3,000 taken to make a usable timeline
This is my second visit to Egypt. However, the most important difference is that we made this journey with fellow Christians, from a Christian University (Milligan) and with a knowledgable Christian Egyptian Scholar who is also a highly trained Egyptologist.
All of this makes for a trip of a lifetime! Osman, our guide, explained how God has used Egypt as a sanctuary for his people in the Old Testament and New. We walked where they walked and saw what they saw!

This may take me more than one morning (possibly weeks) to complete this narrative with photos, but I will post on Facebook when each blog page is ready.
Thanks for your patience.
Ellen
