Saturday was spent in the air to our destination. Peggy spend Friday coming to Charlotte from Chicago O’Hare which she described as a Zoo! Charlotte TSA and check in went so smooth that you wondered if all the news of problems was correct. Atlanta was our second stop and with their train system we made it from plane to boarding area in minutes. Our flight to Amstrdam was spend trying to sleep and watching the onboard movies. So many to choose from!
I watched “The Intern” and got so tickled I may have disturbed the sleep of my fellow passengers. However, how can one go to sleep at 8:30 pm even when it is 1:am at your destination. This flight provided a large glass of wine, a dinner and a breakfast snack. The wine was served first so you may know my reaction by the time dinner was served. Wine on a empty stomach is not good news!
We arrived at Budapest Airport at 1:15 to find that the temperature change from Amsterdam was +30 degrees. It was 96 in Budapest on Saturday!
The above photos are of Amsterdam from the air. My only time at a window seat. The river appeared blue and calm. Budapest and the Danbue were muddy and choppy as they have had lost of rain.
Our ship beautiful, comfortable but not full. The number given last night was 130 but it will hold 190 passanger.
I will post about our river of lights tour last night after breakfast.
Today, Sunday we will take a walking and motor tour of Budapest then in the afternoon we will go to the World Famous Thermal Baths to enjoy thee water.
