Horsemen of Puszta and Cathedral Organ Concert
Dear Friends and Family,
I am about to catch up. You will probably see less writing and more photos from now on as the writing takes so much more time and brain power.
Since I can only use one internet device at a time, I have to check to see what is on Facebook by turning off the wifi on my iPad then turning on the phone then back to the iPad. What I won’t do to keep accurate text for you and for me 5-10 years from now!
Thursday morning 8/28 and we are still in Hungary. Our planned excursion by Viking for today is a stop in Pulocsa, to see the Puszta horse show. Hungarians are excellent horsemen.

On our way to the horse show, we saw miles of sunflower fields (used to make sunflower oil) along with fields of paprika peppers. Pulocsa is known for its Hungarian paprika.

Second Stop Cathedral at Kalocsa
Thursday’s second stop was at the Cathedral at Kalocsa for a beautiful organ concert 🎶 on their 4600 pipe organ. Statues of Saint Stephen of Hungary and Saint Leo, two patron saints of the Cathedral. Saint Leo served in the crusades (notice his sword). The pulpit is made of wood with an overlay of gold.

To close out this day, I have a beautiful sunset and setting moon as we were finishing dinner. More tomorrow!

It is time for bed, morning comes early in Eastern Europe. More tomorrow. I am still one day behind!
Ellen
