This is supposed to be photos, but I cannot tell from my review of this page. Someone let me know by email (carpentres@gmail.com) if they get through.
So far the photos for this have been few and far between.
Today has been the most relaxing day and really had the most variety because we did most of the sightseeing on our own without a rush! We had a walking tour with history of the town and humor by our guide . Our tour finished at the cathedral of St. Peter. This building has a basement whose supports date from the 9th century. I was able to go down to this along with the bishop of Regensburgh from the 13th century’s bones! A church as been on this spot since 739 with a bishop present since that time.
After our tour, Peggy and I went sightseeing on our own and this meant mostly shopping! I found a grocery store and Peggy found shoes for walking on the cobble stones here. (On our way back we finally had about 200 yards of blacktop. I was never so happy to see the dark surface!) Cobble stones are not fun to walk in even when they have 600 years of wear.
We ate lunch in a “Beer Garden” where we learned that you must give as close to the check amount as you can because the staff believe the remainder of the 10 or 20 Euros are for them! My tip was almost 35%…
A leisure stroll back to the ship for an afternoon rest for Peggy and frustration for me as I am still trying to upload photos on this site. I did get some photos on Facebook (however, I try not to put more that a sentence or two o that site!)
