Abu Sembel

Dear friends and family,

It is 6:45 in the morning and I’m sitting in the lobby trying to type on my phone which is a pain! We leave in a few minutes for this monastery and the tomb of the nobles. How do we get there? By camel of course!

I actually slept a little longer this morning so I didn’t make it to the lobby to type on my blog. This may be the last time I have good Wi-Fi is I was disappointed in Cairo’s Wi-Fi at our hotel.

After our camel ride and visit we will go to the airport to catch a flight from as one to Cairo arriving about six or 7 o’clock tonight.

The group has all been exposed to something and we all have a terrible cough with sneezing. I got some Egyptian cough syrup from the Bilal are Egyptologist and it’s working very well.

When I get a little more time I’ll try to take write some more about how wonderful Abu Simbel was.

It’s time to leave the hotel so I will try to get this published before I walk out the door.

Ellen

PS. notice the toes of Ramses the second in the first group of photos. This is what happens when you wear flip-flops all the time.😱😂

  1. I thought the Egyptians invented the flip-flop. Now you have proof!
