Saturday…Charlotte…Boston…then Dublin (It will still be Saturday at home)

November 2, 2019

Dear Family & Friends,

Arrived early at Charlotte-Douglas for our Jet Blue Flight to Boston. Time for a quick update…(later updated in Boston)

1. Jet Blue is now in their new updated home at Charlotte Douglas . Photos don’t do it justice. All restrooms are large enough for luggage and even extra small children!

2. New arrival and departure lanes for easy of arrival at the terminal. Expanded, updated and additional terminal gates for more customer access.

3. This was the first time to use Global Entry/TSA. I think I’ll enjoy this service!

4. A clear day so I hope to take photos from the plane.

Manhattan and Brooklyn from the air!

My Ireland travel buddy is Donna McNeil from Wilkesboro, NC. I will let her introduce herself:

“Hi, I’m enjoying traveling with Ellen. I taught child development at Wilkes Community College’ as did Ellen at ASU. I enjoy my family, , outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, paddle boarding, Looking forward to Ireland?”

A pleasant journey to Boston in record time! Clear skies across Manhattan made it possible to capture the city from 20,000 + feet. Soon we landed in Boston.

Boston Logan Airport is located on a peninsula just NE of Downtown.

A really cool place to spend a few hours for two Child Development professors. We walked from one end to the other to find the perfect place for lunch. Found a restaurant at the end of Terminal E that provided us with great personalized service as we were the only customers.

Our Jet Blue flight landed at C19–Aer Lingus flight leaves from C-21. Not many steps needed but we made up for this by cruising the entire airport.

Returning to C21 we found the Aer Lingus loading supplies for our this this evening.

I am closing for now. Looking forward to a super time on the Emerald Isle!

Ellen
