February 22-24
Arrived in Manhattan Wednesday evening, only one hour late, to the refurbished Moynahan Train Station. I hope that I can spend time there when I return in March from this trip.

The plan for Wednesday was to meet Linda Perkins, my friend, fellow Milligan Alumina, and fellow traveler (Israel) at JFK for the trip back to the Loft. My goal going to JFK was to find ways to navigate the subway system with elevators to bring her luggage back and to see if we could use the subway on Monday to meet Milligan friend at JFK 4 hours before our flight.

My trip out went smoothly except I didn’t find all the elevators at Fulton Street. Coming back I realized that there were at least 5 different elevators to take us from the A train to the 5. Decision made! We will take a taxi!
Late night walk to Madison Square Park to see the Empire State Building, but the fog and rain clouds covered it. However the Met Tower was absolutely beautiful. Will have dinner at Shake Shack one day before we leave.

Thanks for following our adventures. Linda is uptown with two of her grandchildren but will approve posts from now on…Linda sends greetings to her family and her other 12 grandchildren!

Familiar sights here! I remember our walk to Pete’s Tavern through the night, we had a blast!
