Travel in Poland to Krakow

On our Way to Krakow

Our 2 hour and 45 minute journey from Warsaw to Krakow took us through beautiful farmland in Poland. Our train held 6 cars and two engines, one on either end. It makes a daily journey from Gdansk to Krakow the back again. It only stops in the three cities to pick up passengers.

Our train

This will be mostly a post of photos of the country side and farms we passed along the way. When the Soviets took over Poland, they did let the people keep their land. The farms are so productive.

Photos on the Train

First Class Accomodations
Lots of room to sit, eat and write!
Lunch served at 11:30 Pulled Pork Sliders.
Individual light for reading

Views from the train

Typical farm complex. Photos in this section were taken at 100 MPH. My iPhone 14 really helped stop the action. Thanks RAY!
Harvest is in process
I am not sure what is growing here, but there is diversity in each farm
Getting closer to Krakow, the land becomes rolling hills.
Entering the outskirts of Krakow. This is modern Krakow. We are a few blocks from the train station near the old part of the city.

My next post will be of our first day exploring the city and its many historical buildings. Fortunately this city was not destroyed in either World War.

Thanks for reading. Let me know when you finish.
